THE EVIL OF INCOME TAX (A Paradigm Change)

GROWING OUR ECONOMY IS THE ONLY WAY

TO SURVIVE

 AMERICA’S $17 TRILLION NATIONAL DEBT

WITHOUT LOSING OUR

INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY

_________

 CUTTING INCOME TAXES IS HISTORICALLY

THE ONLY WAY OUR ECONOMY EVER GROWS

(THAT MEANS WE NEEDTAX REFORM)

REMEMBER THROUGHOUT THIS ARTICLE THAT………

TAX REFORM IS TEMPORARY WITHOUT ELIMINATING THE 16TH AMENDMENT

**********************************************

GOVERNMENT CAN AND DOES USE TAXATION

TO

CONTROL PEOPLE

Presidents Bush and Obama have been prolific spenders of American Tax Dollars.

President Obama alone spent more of our tax dollars in his first term than all previous American Presidents combined. (THEREFORE WE HAVE HISTORIC NATIONAL DEBT)

And we as American citizens need to get educated and make some choices.

I’m talking about a choice between a future where “individual liberty” reigns; as intended by our founders; or a future where there is “liberty for government” to control our lives.

It’s a choice between:
#1) “A BIG TOP DOWN GOVERNMENT”

WITH AN ELITE FEW MAKING ALL THE DECISIONS

-OR-

#2) “A CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMITED GOVERNMENT”

WHERE THE INDIVIDUAL MAKES HIS OWN DECISIONS AS LONG AS THEY DON’T INTERFERE WITH THE LIBERTY OF FELLOW CITIZENS

Today; we find ourselves so far away from the protections of our Constitution that America could actually be described as POST-CONSTITUTIONAL.
******************************************

OBAMA CARE CONNECTION

Our government failed us in the summer of 2012, when the Supreme Court failed to find Obama Care unconstitutional.

A government that has the power to “mandate” that we buy health insurance has the power to require us to do anything they want.

The Obama Care battle is however not over.

As individuals start experiencing the tragedy that is Obama Care; people should wake up.

We still have a chance of regaining our Liberty, but only if the public gets educated on economics and American History.

Obama Care was never really about healthcare.

As Justice Kennedy said in the Supreme Court’s recent deliberations, “Obama Care is all about the relationship between Government and the Individual”.

THAT RELATIONSHIP IS WHAT I AM CONCERNED WITH IN THIS ARTICLE

Entitled:

THE EVIL OF INCOME TAX

I WILL BE MAKING THE CASE FOR CHANGING THE WAY WE FUND OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

I hope that many young people take the time to check this out.

You have the most to gain or lose in this Grave Situation.

And it’s not your fault.

It’s my generation’s fault.

BUT IT’S NOT TOO LATE.

Consider our $17 trillion National Debt.

It’s really $117 trillion; when you add in the unfunded mandates of Social Security and Medicare.

By the way…with the current system; you young people will never see those “withholding dollars” taken out of your paychecks. (YOU SHOULD BE RIOTING IN THE STREETS ABOUT THIS)

Social Security and Medicare are bankrupt.

There is no “Lock Box”.

Politicians spent the money.

Either way; this debt falls on YOU.

It’s your bill to pay and
AMERICA AND YOU ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE

There is no way we can cut spending enough or raise taxes enough to ever work our way out of this National Debt.

The ONLY way out is to GROW OUR ECONOMY.

AND THIS IS WHERE THE PARADIGM CHANGE COMES IN………

FIRST SOME FACTS

Government has nothing that it doesn’t take from someone.

In some fashion Government must take money from individuals to fund government activities.

Some of these government activities are essential and enumerated in our Constitution but TODAY, many are not.

Historically, all governments have found ways to get larger and more intrusive in the lives of their citizens.

It’s human nature.

If men were angels it might be different.

America’s Founders recognized this and developed the best plan in Human History to keep their new government from ending up this way.

Their plan was the “American Constitution”.

The American Constitution separated and enumerated the powers of government to protect the Liberties (Freedoms) of Individuals.

They wanted a small, “caged” federal government by and for “The People”.

This was new and unique in all of human history.

It is the reason America has flourished; achieving in two centuries; more than any previous human society accomplished in thousands of years.

A government controlled by a Constitution that respects “individual choice” was the key.

Guided largely by self-interest; Americans achieved things in all areas of human endeavor that could never have been imagined; let alone planned; by an elite group of experts in any top down government past or present.

**********************************************
Today; not all of our Temporary Politicians want the Federal Government controlled and in its “CONSTITUTIONAL CAGE”.

For over 100 years now; government in America has been funded largely through INCOME TAXES.

And in fact our Income Tax System caters to those politicians who favor this kind of BIG GOVERNMENT.

In fact, our Income Tax system enriches those temporary politicians who feel this way.

In fact our Income Tax System helps keep those politicians in office.

The temporary politicians I’m referring to favor Liberty for Government over Liberty for the Individual.

That is the liberty of government to control the people through laws and regulations that go far beyond what was intended  by our Constitution.

1913 WAS A BAD YEAR FOR AMERICA

Several “Bad Things” happened in 1913 including the creation of the Federal Reserve which is currently printing money and devaluing our savings.  (CYPRUS BANKS WERE NOT AS SNEAKY)

Woodrow Wilson was elected to his first term as President of the United States in 1913.

And Wilson was arguably the President who started the Progressive Movement away from our Constitution in America.

Here however, I will discus what I consider the worst thing that happened in 1913.

It is the Root of Much Evil that has progressed in America over the past 100 years.

THE BIRTH OF THE INCOME TAX SYSTEM

This was a turning point in American history when the relationship between Government and the Individual changed DRAMATICALLY.

Creating the ability to tax income was not an Unconstitutional Act like Obama Care.

It was created constitutionally with the 16th Amendment in 1913.

Progressively taxing income; which in effect punishes success was not a new idea however.

In fact, Karl Marx suggested progressively taxing income in his Communist Manifesto (#2………Google It).

Yes, the co author of the Communist Manifesto recognized that progressively taxing income was a good way to punish success and control “the people”.
.

***********************************************

WHAT DOES TAXING INCOME ACCOMPLISH

It punishes success.

The more successful you are, the more you are punished.

In fact only 85 Million people paid all the individual income taxes in America this year.

Income taxes are used as a tool by politicians to redistribute income from those who earn it to those who don’t; largely through social Programs.

Progressively, over the past 100 years, taking income from those who earn it and redistributing it to those who don’t, has created a large voting block that keeps certain politicians in office.

President Woodrow Wilson was one of those politicians and the 16th Amendment was ratified during his Presidency.

The new Income Tax System eventually provided the funding for Franklin Roosevelt’s Leviathan of Social Programs called the New Deal; most of which was Extra-Constitutional.

70% of the Federal Programs that exist today date back to the 1930’s and the New Deal.

Most of these programs would never be missed by the public in general yet they consume 70% of our tax dollars and never go away. (Much like the liberal politicians that favor income taxation)

************************************************
WHAT HAPPENS HISTORICALLY IN AMERICA WHEN THE ECONOMY GETS BAD ???

Usually some temporary politician, most often a Conservative, quite often a Republican, promotes the idea of “CUTTING INCOME TAXES’. (Tax Reform)

For example in the 2012 Republican Primary these plans were offered:
a) a Flat Tax (Texas Gov. Rick Perry)
b) 9-9-9 (Herman Cain) a little more complicated but maybe better
c) 0% Corporate Tax on Manufacturing (Rick Santorum)

ALL OF THESE WOULD HELP OUR ECONOMY TO GROW AND WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN WHAT WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING.

IN FACT; THE  ROMNEY/RYAN PLAN IN THE PAST (2012) ELECTION PROMOTED A 20% INCOME TAX CUT ACROSS THE BOARD (WHICH SOUNDS FAMILIAR).

The most famous example of an Income Tax Cutting Strategy was that of Ronald Reagan who cut Income Taxes 25% across the board in the 1980’s.

This led to the greatest period of economic growth in America’s history and it lasted over 20 years.

It left money in the hands of individuals and corporations who spent it; which in turn grew our economy like nothing else in history.

THE POINT I’M TRYING TO MAKE IS THAT
EVERYONE KNOWS “CUTTING INCOME TAXES” GROWS THE ECONOMY AND THIS, IN SOME FORM, IS WHAT WE ALWAYS DO.

THEY CALL IT………”TAX REFORM”

OFF AND ON WE HEAR OUR TEMPORARY POLITICIANS TALKING ABOUT TAX REFORM AND OCATIONALY TAXES ARE ACTUALLY CUT.

 BUT………

WHAT PREVENTS THE NEXT GROUP OF TEMPORARY POLITICIANS FROM RAISING THEM AGAIN?

NOTHING… BECAUSE OF THE 16TH AMENDMENT !

IT’S THE 16TH AMENDMENT WHICH ALLOWS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO TAX INCOME IN THE FIRST PLACE

AND “TAX REFORM IS TEMPORARY” WITHOUT “ELIMINATING THE 16TH AMENDMENT”
*********************************************

THE 16TH AMENDMENT CHANGES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE INDIVIDUAL AND GOVERNMENT

You can pick your candidate, go door to door, fund raise for them and get them elected.

But, because of the 16th Amendment your newly elected politician no longer needs you because he can now vote for TAX EXEMPTIONS.

He now has a new way to fund his next campaign.
And often times it enriches him in the process.
*****************************************

INCOME TAX EXEMPTIONS

a) are very valuable to individuals or corporations that can get them
b) are what lobbyists are all about
c) can determine “winners and losers”
d) can translate into “perks” for politicians
e) can fund a politician’s next election
f) often enrich our temporary politicians prolonging their tenure in government

Bottom Line:
THE INCOME TAX SYSTEM MEANS YOUR FAVORITE CANDIDATE NO LONGER NEEDS YOU ONCE ELECTED.

HOW WE FUND GOVERNMENT IS WHERE WE NEED TO MAKE OUR PARADIGM CHANGE………SO LISTEN UP

************************************************

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ELIMINATE INCOME TAXES IN AMERICA?

With no Income Tax; America becomes the best place in the world to have your business.

$15 trillion in US assets held off shore avoiding the highest Corporate Income Tax in the world (35%) comes home.

This leads to JOBS-JOBS-JOBS and MADE IN AMERICA.

With our economy booming; wages will soar as companies compete for qualified employees.

Everyone brings home their entire paycheck.

There will be no withholding taxes taken from your pay check because there will be no income tax.

And for the same reason no one will need to have tax deductions for anything like home ownership etc. or for that matter to keep track of or file anything on April 15th.

Money left in the economy by not punishing success will grow the economy.

The 25% cuts of Reaganomics grew our economy historically.

A 100% cut in Income Taxes…Made Permanent by eliminating the 16th Amendment will quickly bring our country out of debt and help to restore the relationship, intended by our founders, between Individuals and Government.

****************************************************************************************

GOVERNMENT WILL STILL NEED TO BE FUNDED AND THIS CAN BE DONE WITH A CONSUMPTION TAX

Taxing income, removes money from the economic cycle that would otherwise churn through the economy and grow it.

Taxing consumption, removes money at the end of the economic cycle allowing more growth and a broadening of the tax base.

Rather than 85 Million people paying all the personal income taxes; everyone; including citizens, visitors, even illegals will contribute when they make purchases of new products.

WHAT ABOUT CORPORATE INCOME TAXES AND THOSE

“EVIL CORPORATIONS” !!!

You need to understand that Corporate Income Taxes are actually never paid by Corporations.

They are passed along to consumers in the price of their products.

In effect; individuals pay all taxes including corporate taxes under the current Income Tax System.

Those who want to tax those Evil Corporations therefore are simply asking to be taxed themselves through higher prices.

With corporate income taxes gone; a consumption tax will not change the current prices of products produced in America.

This is true because the corporate income taxes which are currently embedded in the price of products are simply replaced by the consumption tax with no net change in the price of the product.

The embedded taxes in our current income tax system never show up on a sales receipt but our new consumption taxes will.

The cost of funding government at that point will be transparent, SLAPPING YOU IN THE FACE, every time you purchase something new.

Whatever that consumption tax ends up being numerically………

IT WILL TRANSPARENTLY REPRESENT THE CURRENT COST OF RUNNING OUR BLOATED GOVERNMENT AT ANY GIVEN POINT IN TIME.

AS PEOPLE  ARE CONFRONTED DAILY, ON SALES RECEIPTS, WITH THE COST OF GOVERNMENT

THEY WILL SOON BEGIN TO ASK WHAT THEY ARE GETTING FOR OUR HIGH TAXES

AND MANY OF THOSE “NEW DEAL PROGRAMS ” THAT CONSUME 70% OF OUR TAX DOLLARS WILL GET SCRUTINIZED AND ELIMINATED.

AT THAT POINT “GOVERNMENT GETS SMALLER”

AND HOPEFULLY BACK INTO ITS………”CONSTITUTIONAL CAGE”.

***************************************
CHANGING THE WAY WE FUND GOVERNMENT IS THE PARADIGM CHANGE WE NEED TO MAKE

WE NEED TO DEMAND THAT OUR TEMPORARY POLITICIANS  GET OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACK INTO ITS “CONSTITUTIONAL CAGE”

SUPPORT THE ELIMINATION OF THE 16TH AMENDMENT

AND HELP ELIMINATE OUR INCOME TAX SYSTEM.

*************************************************************************

AND DON’T BE FOOLED BY SIMPLE

TAX REFORM

PAUL RYAN’S ECONOMIC PLAN FOR AMERICA, ALTHOUGH BETTER THAN ANYTHING PROPOSED BY OUR PRESIDENT OR HIS PARTY, DOES NOT ELIMINATE INCOME TAXES

THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION IS A WONDERFUL CONSERVATIVE ORGANIZATION AND THEY HAVE AN AMBITIOUS ECONOMIC PLAN TOO.

IT DOES NOT ELIMINATE INCOME TAXES

REMEMBER………TAX REFORM WITHOUT ELIMINATING THE 16TH AMENDMENT IS ONLY TEMPORARY.

WE CAN NOT DEPEND ON THE NEXT GROUP OF TEMPORARY POLITICIANS OR EXPERT CONSERVATIVE THINK TANK MEMBERS TO BE ANGELS

THEREFORE THESE PLANS ARE ONLY “TEMPORARY”

  1. This was a great article.

If you ask a CPA or Tax attorney about deducting something that is a little bit complicated, his answer is “it depends on facts and circumstances”.
That is because Income tax law is arbitrary, ambiguous, discriminatory and comes out with different answers depending on who is looking at the interpretation.
The tax code says one thing and then the tax courts say something else.
It has taken almost 100 years for the tax code to expand into the absolute insanity that it is.
And each year it gets longer and longer.
Imagine what it will be like in 5 years, 10 years, 50 years?
The only solution is to scrap the whole thing as it does not work.
The people do not understand it, the tax preparers do not understand it and those in government enforcing it do not understand it.
There are many many many solutions for replacement tax systems that work very well in other countries and are NOT arbitrary and discriminatory and nearly 75,000 pages long. Ideas such as flat tax, fair tax, combination flat and fair tax, etc.

What is the purpose of taxes? To collect money to fund the government.
The purpose is NOT for the average citizen to have to spend hours upon hours upon hours collecting receipts, filling out log books, putting receipts into categories, adding receipts up, making copies of those receipts because they fade after time and you may need them if you get audited in a few years, then making sure everything balances and then reading page after page after page of complicated tax instructions and tax publications in order to turn in an accurate report of all financial transactions that fits in with the constantly changing tax form format that most people do not understand and you sign under penalties of perjury.

The populace and elected officials need to raise their awareness on what a nutty and at the same time dangerous tax system this actually is.

    • Thank you Scott for your comments.

We need to get an understanding of the “Evil Of Income Tax” out to the liberty loving silent majority before it’s too late.

The question we should have for all of our elected “Temporary Politicians” is:

“INCOME TAX – or – NO INCOME TAX” (That is the question)

The answer to this question tells us wether they believe in:

      1) BIG TOP DOWN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and all the perks for politicians that come along with it; plus the need for “GOOD” Temporary Politicians to come along from time to time to pull us back from the brink with Temporary Income Tax Cuts.

      -or-

      2) A CONSTITUTIONALY “CAGED” AND LIMITED FEDERAL GOVERNMENT where Karl Marx’s idea of a progressive income tax system no longer exists and America becomes the best place in the world to have your business leading to JOBS-JOBS-JOBS, MADE IN AMERICA and we grow our way out of the historic debt put on the next generation and their children by temporary politicians of both parties.

      Yes, it’s as simple as:

“INCOME TAX – or – NO INCOME TAX”

LIBERTY FOR GOVERNMENT vs LIBERTY FOR THE INDIVIDUAL

  2. John,

You are right on with this. The need to end the income tax is more than just economic. To me it is about liberty.

In chapter two of Dan Pilla’s 1994 book “IRS, Taxes and the Beast”, he discusses the 1984 Strategic Plan of the IRS from their document 6941. (More on this by Pilla: http://www.cato.org/pubs/pas/pa222.html) (full strategic plan here: http://www.supremelaw.org/rsrc/irsplans/irs.strategic.plan.1984.pdf)

As part of the plan, they had three goals: 1) a cashless society, 2) an electronic filing system and 3) a flat income tax. With such a system, it would be easy for them to determine your “liability” and simply collect from your account. They could even complete the form for you. That might be simple, but it isn’t consistent with a free society.

An income tax of any design simply is unacceptable.

I must add, I’m for repeal of the 16th amendment but it must include a clarifying and/or extension of the term “direct taxes”. As it stands now, the Supreme Court defines direct taxes as a poll tax and a tax on land. Everything else is considered an indirect tax subject only to geographic uniformity. The 16th amendment was only necessary because the Pollock court extended the definition of direct taxes to include some income items. In 1916, the Brushaber court stated the 16th amendment simply restored taxation of income to its proper category as an indirect tax. IMO, even with full repeal, a future Congress could pass an income tax as an indirect tax and the courts could continue to state the only direct taxes are poll taxes and taxes on land. The repeal must make it clear that taxation of income from any source is to be considered a direct tax henceforth.

  3. Here’s the line I really like: “This means the cost of funding government will be transparent, slapping you in the face every time you purchase something new.” What a great way to slam on the brakes of runaway government spending. I agree with this approach.

  4. TO THE WRITER of the article;
THE EVIL OF INCOME TAX (A Paradigm Change)

I leave it up to your judgement as to whether or not you post this reply. I myself fear it might dishearten some of the stalwart Conservative Activists still in the fight against creeping Socialism.

I wholeheartedly agree with your conclusions in your excellent article, but sadly, we have about the chance of the proverbial “Snowball in Hell” of ever repealing the16th Amendment. Abolishing the income tax is indeed the only thing that could save our country from the inevitable, unstoppable, impending Socio-Economic Collapse which in my view will occur in as little as 2 but not more than 10 years. The Watts rioting will look like a Sunday School picnic.

The reality is that there is now a majority of vote bought WelfareLeaches, Government employee bloodsuckers, Socialism pushers in Academia and the public schools, and Socialist Media Propagandists to go along with the hoards of indifferent disinterested citizens – warm and comfortable in their false belief that they can “float it on out” without being inconvenienced …so many that there are not enough responsible voters to get it done.
It is these indifferent “good” citizens who I am most angry with, and who carry most of the blame. I just hope I live long enough to see them get their comeuppance.

[“All politics are based on the indifference of the majority.” …James Reston]
[“The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.”…Edmond Burke]

There is no hope that any of these will ever change their behavior, short of calamity. As a country and society, we are like the mother scorpion whose babies it carries around on its back and who eat on their mother until she dies, and then crawl off to then be mostly eaten themselves.
The worm has turned. The Rat Race is over and the Rats have won. No democracy has lasted as long as we have, and we are at the end of our rope.

[“When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.”…Benjamin Franklin]

The tipping point likely came even before I burned out as a Conservative Activist. I wanted to give something back after agood life of many endeavors and opportunities – I was limited only in the smallness of my dreams. Now the dreams of Americans are limited and being systematically squashed by the comprehensive degeneracy of Socialism. I am up in years and
psychologically wrung out, but I am still strong enough to take up arms in defense of our Constitutional Republic, should I get the chance. It is past the time when the ballot could save us. Where is George Washington when we need him most? Even if such as he were available though, I do not believe there are enough true Americans remaining to physically force out the domineering, intrusive, tyrannical Socialist government we have allowed to descend upon us. As a people, we richly deserve what is coming.
I am not a pessimist, I am a realist. The unsustainable, hopelessly out of control National Debt alone, especially coupled with the Collective National Decadence introduced by the Socialists, will to a greater or lesser extent, make it inevitable that we will eventually devolve into some variation of the Dark Ages when it will be each man for himself, who will then join pockets of others who have joined for strength in numbers (fiefdoms) for survival.
I am not alone in my conclusions. There are those as you may know, called “Preppers”, who are keenly aware of what is coming, and who are doing their best to prepare for it. It is my belief that they number in the millions and growing. They stand ready to act to change our path to destruction, but they have no leader. To me all this is now like watching a re-run of a good movie – you know what will happen but it is still interesting to watch it play on out again.
Democracy and Socialism (by whatever names), run that way. History has made it clear, and we are fast approaching the point of starting over again – if we can….

[“Those who ignore history will be compelled to repeat it.” …George Santayana]

    ————————————————————————————–
“As a man thinketh, so is he.”
…taken from an essay in James Allen’s book As a Man Thinketh – 1902

    • I love your comment Tony.

It is obvious you are a student of history and an astute observer of what has gone on around you during your lifetime.

One thing I would like you and others to consider.

WE ARE LIVING IN THE “INFORMATION AGE” AND ALL KINDS OF INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE INSTANTLY.

This gives me hope because individuals like yourself are out there to inform and educate and this can happen very quickly.

We also have dedicated professionals like Levin and organizations like Hillsdale College using the media to get citizens up to speed on American history and the Constitution where government schools have failed.

I do agree there will be some degree of “shit hitting the fan” before a sizable portion of American citizens will wake up.

And when they do wake up the answers need to be available on Facebook, Twitter, Talk Radio and all forms of On-line communication out there.

The “Preppers”, in my opinion, who will make the difference this time around will not be those who close ranks only to protect themselves physicaly but those who are able to educate the public (especialy the young) when the Evil of Big Government starts affecting them directly.

The advantage we have is that in the “Information Age” this could happen quickly.

The George Washingtons of the 21st Century may well be Patriots like yourself in an age where your musket reaches hundreds or thousands on the internet.

I think it’s time to reactivate your Conservative Activism.

Once again. Thank You for your KIND COMMENTS ON…THE EVIL OF INCOME TAX (A Paradigm Change)

      • Thanks for taking the time to reply, Sir.

Yes the age of IT changes just about everything, and opens countless possibilities. The main problem for most individual Conservatives is that their list of contacts is limited and when they try to expand, Spam eats their efforts along with being blocked by closed-minded “Progressives” and many Independents, ultimately resulting in once again “singing to the choir”. It is too frustrating for so many, unfortunately, and it seems the only benefit is friendship with like-minded people.

I have not entirely left the game, even though I believe it will take a truly miraculous Hail Mary pass to pull it out short of some amount of widespread riots, killing and pillaging. The other big problem for individual Conservatives, is that as in my case, who the hell cares about what some nobody named Tony Miller thinks about anything. It’s like trying to get one of my books exposed and published.. if I were a notable serial killer or adulterous politician, no problem.- a best seller first crack out of the box. In 10 years of mailing out hundreds of letters a day, emailing by the thousands, making scads of phone calls, attending political gatherings, making speeches, and ghost writing for notable Conservative columnists, I could only claim about 10 editorials published in major newspapers (other than the Washington Times NWE), seeing a pitiful few of my articles published under the names of others gratis, and being instrumental I think, in getting a Concealed Carry law passed in Tennessee, along with getting an established Socialist Democrat Senator out of office and replaced with a Conservative. It seems so insignificant in view of the time, effort and personal expense that went into it.

And yes I agree that hunkering down somewhere in the hard survivalist mode is not the only way or necessarily the best way. The best way is that way which best which suits each individual and his abilities, although a good degree of knowledge about basic survival and self protection is required I feel. I have great knowledge and experience about this subject and could write volumes about it, but there are other ways and other places to resort to, when the time comes for it and you can see it coming a little ahead. For instance I write this from a small village in the mountains of northern Thailand where I live quite nicely on my $910 a month SS check. It is completely self-governing,.self-policing, entirely self-sufficient, every single person works at something or other (no useful work is demeaning), and there is no such thing as Welfare paid, received, expected, or necessary. Should any be offered or received, itwould be too shameful to bear. There is 100% employment for those who want to work outside, and no such thing as hunger or poverty. No one goes uncared for no matter their condition or means, and these villages all over Thailand are identical microcosms which make up the entire Thai economy. Indeed no one cares what comes out of the government in Bangkok, they know they will be just fine, thank you very much… Every person is taken care of fom birth to death. They all have plenty to eat, clothes to wear and roofs over their heads – not as fancy as the States, but entirely sufficient. But before any reading this gets too excited, know that the strange and convoluted culture (as westerners see it), along with the exclusionary laws of Thailand is NOT for everyone.

Ah yes. Hillsdale College. A fabulous place to get a balanced world view, unvarnished American history, a full curricula, first class, Christian college education and a guaranteed choice of good jobs upon graduation – in a beautiful setting near a small town in Michigan. Just to hear national and international speakers of renown in person once a month is worth it. I have been receiving the Imprimis for going on 15 years now, and have set aside college tuition there for my first grandchild that claims it – to only be used there, or else nothing. The significant problem is that it is one of the most expensive colleges in the country. Would that more wealthy Conservatives establish more free tuition scholarships there for those who deserve it but cannot afford it.

By the way, thanks for your time and efforts in behalf of our endangered Constitutional Republic.

        Tony Miller
